Colin Firth is THE Mr Darcy.
mmmm wet shirt...
I can't even entertain the thought of the new version. I'm so enamoured with Jennifer Ehle (and her gorgeous sparkly laughing eyes) and Colin Hornbag Firth.

Colin Firth is teh posh totty of choice!! I watched Far From Heaven the other night and it was a fab movie. If you like melodramas that make you a bit weepy. And it was the most beautiful film I've ever looked at! And it's Todd Haynes Tweed!!

It's visually stunning isn't it? I have the DVD, and I watched it twice in a row, I was so blown away by it. Fabulous juxtaposition of forbidden romance, too.

It really was. How great was Dennis Quaid in it? I had such a lump in my throat by the end... It was so sad...

It really was. How great was Dennis Quaid in it? I kner! Also...one scene got a bit of the rewind treatment from me... Yes. It's sad in that snuggly, curl up on a rainy day sort of way. It was interesting, when I saw it, I had just seen The Hours, where Julianne Moore played a very similar character! I still get them slightly mixed up!

It's the best bit!

Damn straight it's the best bit!
And like, how about at the end, who knew one rather chaste kiss could pack so much erotic punch eh? go Jane Austen!

No kiss at the end either...it was really quite pathetic...would have been a waste of two hours if not for Matthew's very pretty eyes....

I thought the 40 yr old Virgin was funny too. Some of it was a bit off, but Steve Carrell is just so cute! I want to eat him up in that!

Funnily enough, it wasn't! I went to the earliest session (9:45am) and the cinema wasn't full at all. But I think that was due to the M rating - the school groups couldn't come through (like with PoA last year, the place was packed with school kids! Not so this morning...)
