Okay, well as everyone knows I'm a slowwwwww queenslander, so I only got my copy of Apocalypse today... ...oh, what can I say...I am so proud of the boys...just want to give them all a big hug! Well, I wanted to do that before I saw the movie, but I want to do it more now because they are so fabulous and clever and wonderful... Hmmmm, probably should have put some kind of disclaimer about beer before this post...but I'm drunk on more than beer! So, what do I think? I thought it was marvelous! The first thing I have to say is Steve is an effing amazing actor! I loved the whole Herr Lipp as Steve storyline - so well written and performed. Reece is a hottie. Sorry mate, I'm sure you're a fab actor too, but I just can't get past the eye candy. Mark as Briss...must be one of the scariest characters every conceived! Although how camp did he sound when he said, 'Oh, there's mine!' I'm glad I avoided spoilers, because the head-explosion scene cames as a complete shock. I just kept turning to John and saying...'Steve...Steve's head just exploded.' I have to admit though, after that happened I knew to expect them all to die, and the others didn't upset me as much. Ummmm...I'll leave it at that...my head is all swirly and can't think straight. I'm just so happy...so very, very happy. ;D

I'm still trying to get over the fact that for some very odd reason I find Hilary so goddamm attractive in those motorcycle leathers!

I've finally listened to the commentary! They sounded weary and less enthusiastic than in the commentaries of Drury Lane and seasons 2 and 3. (Season one seemed a bit restrained - because SB was there?) Still totally worth listening to, of course, but I just wondered what everyone else thought? Maybe I regretted the lack of MARK! You can't say that''

I think it was because they did it before the movie was even released, so there was no public reaction to talk about either, ya kner? Whereas they did the commentaries for Series 1, 2, 3, XMas Special and LaDL a while afterwards, so there was more to talk about...

Yeah i agree...it was sort of 'we dont know how this is going to be percieved so its not as much fun to talk about it' I did find it, while not DULL certainly not their beautiful peppry selves (thoguh i think nothing can touch series 3 for pure commentry and ANGER!!! weeeeeeee!)
They need to do another commentary to fit in with him. I wonder why they did it so early...seeing the DVD was out in oct (actually i think i read somwehre they had to do it so it would be dubbed into other languages) but still!
I loved the bit about Steve calling emilys boobs bustiers or something and jeremy laughing going 'bustiers./...bustiers...how old are you???' HHAHA

The latest Big Issue (with Jodie Foster on the cover) has quite a good review of the DVD - they gave it four stars! ;D
