LOL So anyway. My thoughts... I liked it, definitely, and I laughed out loud to a lot of things. However... *gasp* I wish there had been more of Papa Lazarou, Tubbs and Edward... and less of that weird old English thing, LOL! But I cracked up at the visual effects on the monsters... I would like to see an alternate version now with Bernice, Pauline and Chinnery as the "heroes" instead Speaking of Bernice and Pauline... Woo! That was a close one LOL! But yes. Overall I liked it a lot, but there were things I didn't think were as good as they could have been (in the same vein as the Stella Street movie)... |

That's why I don't want to buy one of the character covers for the DVD becuase they've just put the popular characters on the sleeve, not the characters that are really in the film.
I love the fact that it's Geoff, Herr lipp and Hilary though. Odd bunch but they work so well together!

I liked it a lot, and I think the like will creep into love over a period of time, like some movies tend to do with me! It was different to what I expected, inasmuch as I was expecting something really REALLY dark and gothic, a bit more in the vein of the Chrissie spesh - so yay, they surprised me in that respect! (Though more dark/gothic would have been very welcome!) I thought David Warner was enormous fun (I have enjoyed him ever since he played Dr Necessitor in The Man With Two Brains - one of my fave movies ever) doing the baddie thing. I thought he was a little Snape-ish even! I laughed v. hard when he was cooking up the Homunculous, and wearing a pinnie to keep clean! Lots more to say, but don't want to be a thread hog just yet! (*whimper* A little cameo by Judee would have been nice...) |

LOL Yeah I wanted to see more of the other characters, Judee, Stella, Iris, Ross, etc...
I thought the Gents themselves would have been in it a bit more. The stuff with Steve/Herr Lipp was quite interesting though...
I think I need to watch it again by myself, and with commentary, to have it all sink in a bit more...
