Just watched the bit on the BAFTAs where Heath accepts the BAFTA for best adapted screenplay on behalf of Diana whatsername and Larry McMurtry. Poor love was bricking it! He was clinging on to his speech for dear life, and I suppose he thought while he was hanging on to it, he couldn't do the teapot thing
I watched a show last night on Sky about the oscars. Three different journalists were going through the categories, and they didn't think that Heath would win the Best Actor one purely because of the strength of the competition. If he had been up in last years then he would have run away with it, but there are some really big guns nominated with him and thye didn't think he'd make it....
They did however say the BBM should win Best Picture and Best Director.
I care about the Oscars when I have an emotional investment in any of the nominees/nominated pictures. I haven't cared much over the last few years though. I was pretty excited for Moulin Rouge the year it was up for awards.
I'm considering building a full on BBM shrine for prayer and meditation, though I'd better get cracking on it before Monday!
