Because he has proven himself to be an outstanding actor, and because I'm developing a wee crush on him... And the Jake thread needs company. 'hem...the broad shoulders... the sideburns...the hint of mullet...

Indeed! ;D
I've always quietly thought our % per capita of talented actors must be pretty darned high.
Heath's next movie out is Casanova, but I don't want to see it because the One With David Tennant In It is the ultimate Casanova to me.

Yeah, I 'm feeling that too... I think the only other Heath film I've seen is the '10 things I hate about you' one!

It was better than I thought it would be, '10 Things I Hate About You'.
Haven't you seen A Knight's Tale? It's way fun. ;D
The only other movies I've seen him in are Two Hands and Ned Kelly.

Such is life...My nana's mother (or was it grandmother) harboured Ned Kelly when he was on the run. I have a peeve about the Ned Kelly movie. But I'll shut up until egregious has watched it.

Did you know how it ended? I mean, is Ned Kelly famous over there? He's like a national hero in Australia!

My nana's mother (or was it grandmother) harboured Ned Kelly when he was on the run. Really? That is pretty cool! Well, not really. It's not something us Brits really know about. But Heath is so good in it that I couldn't help it.

I'm sure I'll get teary too, even though I know the story...sometimes things can be even sadder when you know what's coming.

It's interesting, all the old timers around here have a lot of time for Ned and the Kelly Gang, but non-locals (ie people who weren't born and bred in the area) seem to dismiss him as a cop-killing thug who has been unnecessarily glorified.

That is interesting...I've never really come across that attitude much before...I wonder if being down there, where it all happened, makes a difference?
