He is certainly a lot darker and moodier than Ecclestone. For a start he gets angry really easily and a bit shouty when things don't go his way doesn't he? Like a little kid in some aspects, and he's ever so moralistic!!
Whereas Ecclestone was cute, cheeky and serious when necessary, which meant that he worked well with Captain Jack.
Bring on Torchwood! Woo!
Any more new on this yet?

Like a little kid in some aspects, and he's ever so moralistic!! Yes! you've nailed it. I like that the one thing all the different regenerations of the doctor retain is that easily distracted/instantly fascinated by things thing. I really enjoy that. Oh, and they never seem afraid - they can perceive danger but are philosophical about possible outcomes. Absolutely. I wonder how Tennant will interact with Captain Jack? (I think Jack turns up in the next series of Dr Who.) It seems to be a state secret. Autumn 2006, says the John Barrowman website. It also mentions that he is doing panto this year! JACK and the Beanstalk! True!!

I hope they give him some nice boys to play hide the sonic screwdriver with in Torchwood. Also, I think we should encourage River to become a Captain Jack fan.

I didn't realise this was new news. I thought I'd read ages ago she wasn't in the show for the long run.
It does beg the question though...who will be his new companion?
I hope they don't kill Rose off, but if they do, I'm sure it will be a fitting tribute to her. For all her faults, I did love that she was working class, capable and strong.
