"Simpsons Syndrome"

This can happen with other things as well, but a few friends of mine and I gave it this title...

It's simple really - it's basically when you go to tell someone about the episode you watched the night before, only to find you can't remember what actually happened And it usually occurs when trying to describe a Simpsons episode.

Does anyone else encounter this little problem? Or am I just a bit mental (actually don't answer that last part )

I just had it when you mentioned The Fast Show Christmas special. I was all 'have I seen that?', so I looked in my cupboard, and yep, there it is, so I must have seen it! I also found a movie I had taped, and I have never heard of the title before

Yup...usually 2 am when there's noone awake enough to be impressed.

That's usually the case Or when you're around different people and you say it at random, and they just look at you as though you're a bit... weird...
