Sadly we haven't had SBS that long out here in the sticks, so it doesn't ring a bell with me.

The filmclip of Jamiroquai's latest single is a play on this show, believe it or not. (at least I'm pretty sure it is). Of course it's "funked up" by being in 3D animation, but still... it's quite funny to think about really

I remember all these strange shows, like the sand thing, and all those plasticine guys (blue ones with black hair? Or was one of them orange as well?) And the paper pelicans The line thing was classic though, with that funky theme song and the guy going spastic in his crazy voice Aah I wonder if that's on DVD anywhere

The Line, was actually shown on ABCTV as a 5MF(5min filler), as well as Ah Iee A A Oh! (not sure of the real title), the sand drawings. Other ones I can remember are the paper folded swans or ducks (but that could have been connected to the Mr Squiggle Show).
I also remember the orange and blue "Plonsters" as they are now called. They sometimes had black hair or none at all!
I also have vauge memories of a series or one-off show involving octopus like plastcine animations that involved real live people. I think also to it was dubbed. If anyone knows the title I would love to know more about it.
While on the subject of odd shows from the 80s, does anyone remember a show called Professor Poopsnagle (don't laugh). It involved (i think) an old dotty professor who travelled around in a flying red bus with a group of young kids (not very PC these days).
