I think it's great, my husband loves it too, so it's one of those curl up on the sofa together and watch, kinda things. And it's fun to try and work things out before Jonathon and Maddie do! I was sort of lucky to come late to enjoying it (like I was with Spaced) so I got the box-set as my first ever Jonathon Creek DVD purchase.
More reasons to love the show: there's great cameos by Britcom faves - Rik Mayall is godlike in one of the eps, and Bill Bailey is in a couple, and so is Martin Clunes.
*sigh* Wish we could all have a gathering. Just hole up with great food, drinks and DVDs for the weekend...

That'd be so cool... Well at least we're finding some other Aussie peeps around the place now, maybe we could arrange something for the future, like the UK peeps do with their meet-ups and all that

A Tough one, let's see now....these show are purely based on actual classic basis, not just a passing fad.
1. Doctor Who - the good kind, not the crap Chris E/David T/Russel T GAYvis re-make.
2. The Avengers - great fashion, fun adventure, product of it's time and certainly hasn't aged.
3. The Goodies - need I say more?
4. Adam Adamant Lives! - long forgotten, but influence for sooo many characters of pop-cultre today.
5. Blake's 7 - Before there was Star Wars, there were a different kind of rebels trying to free the galaxy from an evil empire, naughty naughty George!
6. Department S - long before CSI, before Jonathan Creek and probebly the insperation for the X-Files was this amazing series.
7. The Prisoner - Who is number 1? nope, it's at number 7!
8. The Fast Show - suit me sir!
9. Scooby Doo - those pescky kids stopped me from getting away with it!
10. Quatermass - It's the end of the world, and an old scientist is our only hope!
There are plenty more, but it is just a top ten....
