Oooh, I'd like to hear one of those conversations. You should hear what my kids do to telemarketers when they call here. One guy asked my son if he was Mr Lunt and James said "I can be anyone you want me to be baby". I nearly fell off my chair laughing.

Now, that response I would have loved to hear. Bet your number got crossed off real fast. It's just too much fun when they make me mad enough to pick up the phone. Someone is going to get as aggrevated as I am.

His other favourite line is the classic from Seinfeld along the lines of... "Sorry I can't talk now, give me your number and I'll call you back after midnight!" ;D

Finally saw this week's episode. It only took me 4 attempts. And all that aggrevation for about 5 minutes worth, if that, of Capt. Jack in the show tonight.

The one where the alien womas gave Tosh(? I'm still not good with their names yet) the necklace that let's her know people's thoughts and where Jack sent her to the sun at the end.

Aaah yeah... I thought it might have been that one. Jack wasn't in it that much, weirdly enough. There are a few others like that where he takes a bit more of a back seat.

Well, that just stinks. Thanks for the warning, though.

Not quite sure where this should be posted and am way too far behind in what I should have finished already tonight to search for the proper place (my tree is actually still downstairs from 6pm and it is now after 3am here and I have yet to drag it upstairs and get it in water). Computers are pure evil. Either that or I simply have no willpower. But in my defense at least the time was spent on proper emails. And I also had to wait for my son to go to sleep since his gifts are inside the door I had to open to go to the attic to get down the Christmas decorations and the tree stand. And I also had to wait until he went to bed just to get online since he has started to confiscate my laptop to play on Disney.com. I thought 6 was too young for a computer but since he seems to know what he's doing with electronics and I actually get a couple of hours of peace while he's online. I guess he will get a fairly cheap laptop in a couple of weeks for his sixth birthday. Mine simply cost too much to keep letting him play with it, even if it does give me peace while he's on it. I just don't want to risk it. Now for my original purpose of getting on this site. BEST WISHES TO ALL FOR A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND SINCERE HOPES FOR A TERRIFIC NEW YEAR FOR EVERYONE. And now for using this thread for its proper purpose, (besides looking at my lovely icon, that is )there are already commercials for the new seasons of Dr. Who and Torchwood starting Jan.28th. So maybe it's not too bad being a season behind. Much less of a wait than if I had been watching it during the original airings. One thing I can't understand though is that according to Wiki, Cap't. Jack doesn't miss any episodes on Torchwood during the second season but from what I read ahead on Wiki he spends the first 3 episodes on Doctor Who and the premieres are both on the same day. Guess I will have to watch and see. No hardship there, though. Claire, thank you for the sweet Christmas wishes mailing the other day. Between your thoughtfullness, and the Highlander site sending an email on my birthday wishing me a very happy birthday, I must ask Jess why she is so slack. Kidding there, btw.

Merry Christmas and all that jazz right back atya ;D Jeez... you guys get series 2 of Torchwood before we do. I don't even know when the hell it's meant to be shown at all. The site of the channel that aired series 1 doesn't have anything about it on there - then again they don't deserve it back, with the way they treated it Oh well. Looks like it's downloads for me! That's because you're a series behind on Dr Who right? You just had the one where Rose "bows out" - so the next one you'll be seeing is the one that was only recently on here and in the UK. Which is stupid really because it'll be out of whack for you now - Jack was in the last few episodes of that DW series but returns for the 2nd series of Torchwood.

Hi Claire. Yes, we are a season behind in Dr. Who. Rose did just go to the parallel world with her mother. But we were also a little behind in Torchwood as well, or so I thought. It started at least a week after Dr. Who but both series finales were on the same night. So I can't figure out how it's going to work or how/if they will explain Jack's being on both when the 2 shows return. Torchwood did end with Jack disappearing after looking at Dr. Who's hand and saying something like he was waiting for someone to come for him after he came back to life. Don't know if Wiki would be much help there because the second season hasn't aired at all yet I think. I think I remember just seeing an outline for it or something. But I think there was an explanation as to his presense on Dr. Who. Actually, you're bringing up a very good point. I forgot one series was a year older than the other. Last season's shows, well actually just a few months ago, Dr. Who premiered a week before Torchwood. Although from what I read in some places, it was airing on the Sci-Fi channel with the most recent episodes, not a season (series) behind like on BBC America but I could never find the show on that channel. Their website advertized it at a certain time but their schedule had another show in it's place. I don't know if it was a rights conflict with BBC America or what but if I could have seen the episodes on Sci-Fi channel, I wouldn't have been a season behind in Dr. Who. Considering that they are both premiering on the same night, I have no clue how they're going to explain it or have Jack in both shows. I do hope you manage to get Torchwood somehow. Actually I also hope they keep making the show. While it's BBC America's biggest hit ever, I read that the ratings went down for it a bit in England after the first few shows. But at least the second season has completed taping.

You just saw series 2 of DW... Series 3 of DW was meant to "run alongside" series 1 of Torchwood. So they've stuffed up by now showing Series 3 of DW with series 2 of Torchwood. That's going to make it so confusing - because yeah, Jack does run off at the end of series 1, and that's what leads to his appearances at the end of series 3 DW. Hopefully that makes some kind of sense The ratings might have been what "killed" it a bit here - but that didn't make it necessary for the channel to move it to the midnight shift (without any warning I might add)... That wouldn't have helped, heh! But like Annette and I have been saying, channel 10 is really crap. Probably one of the worst free to air channels we have actually, with regards to their programming (taking things off without warning, false advertising, etc...) They also show Big Brother so they're just crap by default
