Well ok you asked for it, haha! Here is the lameness!
Note that the Slayer stuff doesn't actually include Buffy - it's more just the actual Slayer "lore" itself that I've "borrowed" for this idea.
Basic premise of fan-fic in general:
The introduced character goes by the name of Illyria Black. She is a 21 year old Vampire Slayer from the 20th/21st Century (basically our time). As well as her Slayer powers, she is also a practicing witch, and is quite advanced in her abilities.
In her time, a terrible battle took place which wiped out the Slayer Line – all except for her. She’d been put into Stasis and heavily monitored by each generation of remaining Watchers as time went on.
Now in ST: TNG times (set after ‘Generations’), she has been “woken”. Disorientated beyond belief, she uses her magic to turn herself into a cat. She is found by a young family who adopt her.
Time goes on, and she continues to maintain her new life as a cat, feeling more at ease in this form. Until more tragedy strikes – the family is invited to go on a space cruise. Illyria sneaks her way into their luggage and winds up on the ship with them, only to watch while the ship is attacked by an unknown “alien” group. Everyone on board is killed, except her.
Later, the Enterprise stumbles across the ship and they search it. Data finds a little cat and takes it back to the Enterprise with him, thinking he’s found a companion for Spot.
Things take a bizarre turn when the Enterprise is attacked by the same “aliens” who attacked the cruise ship. This time Illyria isn’t going to let anyone get hurt, so she “becomes” human again and joins the fight, much to Data’s surprise as he is the first to witness her in action.
With her help the Enterprise crew is able to free themselves from the attackers, who retreat. And then the question is asked. Who is this mysterious girl?
Guinan has the answer. “She’s the Slayer. The Last Slayer.”
Slayer? But Slayers were just a myth, right?
No no no. They existed for a time. But they were wiped out.
So how have we managed to find one?
Guinan tells the crew what happened to the Slayer Line, but she herself can’t quite work out why Illyria has survived. All they can do is guess that she was put into some kind of stasis, going from Illyria’s description of the place she first woke up in. With a bit of “home” contact, Captain Picard discovers the truth from a group of Watchers who have been trying desperately to find her but with no luck, until now.
Plans are made to take her back to Earth, but Illyria doesn’t want to go. It’s not “home” anymore. She'd much rather stay on the ship, particularly since she has seemingly latched onto Data after he’s spent so much time with her in her “cat form”.. He himself is quite fascinated by her presence and by what she is.
Picard, equally fascinated, decides to let her stay, much to the annoyance of some of the crew – particularly Riker. But the Captain believes there could be a place on the ship for someone like Illyria. Especially in security, and Worf actually agrees after having seen her fighting skills. His own curiosity is peaked and he wants to see more of what she can do. The other crew members such as Geordi, Deanna Troi and Beverly Crusher are also curious to learn more about their new ship-mate, and Guinan is keen to speak with her as well.
And that settles it, and Illyria is allowed to stay.
Time goes on and Illyria starts to fit in with the crew, except of course Riker, who sees her as a danger to the ship’s safety. She had become a target for Slayer Hunters who had discovered her existence which put the Enterprise in peril, but they managed to escape, with thanks to Illyria, who insists that she isn’t dangerous and wants to help.
She has become particularly close to Data and Worf; the Klingon enjoys sparring with her as she can actually put up an evenly matched fight, and he has been honoured to teach her how to use the weaponry of his people.
Data enjoys her company as well, always asking her about the 20th/21st Centuries and finding what she tells him extremely “fascinating”. He also finds her emotions interesting as well – she has suffered a great deal of loss in her life and often has moments of deep depression where she locks herself away for hours on end, just to be alone.
Picard is irritated by a surprise visit from Q, who takes a keen interest in the young Slayer. Illyria is equally interested in Q, and despite finding him somewhat annoying, she can’t help but also find him amusing, especially his interaction with Picard and other crew members who already know him.
There is a time, however, when she becomes more annoyed with him than she ever thought possible…
(Cue storyline where Data’s emotions go wild – aiee!)
Illyria has a few issues (well actually she has many, but this is just one, LOL!) about feeling like all she is to the crew is brawn, muscle... ya know... "Oh crap, we have to lift that, Worf and Data are busy - oh, get Illyria to do it, she's never busy", etc... that kind of thing. She wants to show that she can be a good problem solver as well, but the others tend to just dismiss her as only being useful as a "strong fighter".
In annoyance, she goes to the holodeck and puts in the haunted mansion programme she created, because it’s a puzzle solving game.
Data can see that there is something "troubling" the Slayer, so he follows her and finds her in the holodeck. Illyria revels in the idea of having him with her, so maybe she can prove herself to at least one crew member. Plus they're friends so that helps.
Illyria convinces him to activate his emotion chip so he can experience the haunted mansion for what it truly is, even though Illyria herself admits that it's not that scary, because after most of the things she's seen, nothing much scares her anymore. However, they are in for one hell of a ride, because something messes up the computer, and the holodeck programme changes, and Illyria can't de-activate it, and Data can't contact Geordi or Picard (or any other member of the crew for that matter).
Illyria suddenly starts to feel dizzy, and Data is alarmed to find that he is somehow experiencing the same feeling, and they both pass out. When they wake up, they are in a totally different setting. "This isn't my haunted mansion programme," Illyria murmurs, staring around the eerie hallway.
To cut a long story short, they get separated (as ya do in this situation), and both have to deal with particular things on their own. Illyria is made to solve riddles and puzzles, and Data is made to experience emotions, the most prominent being fear.
So now would not a good time for his emotion chip to malfunction...
But it does, he can't de-activate it, and that's not the only problem. Something else is affecting him, and it's not right. Hence he begins to stumble and lose his sense of concentration.
Meanwhile, Illyria realises that the mansion they're in belonged to an insane maniac, and that it is shrouded in mystery (cue basic plot line of The 7th Guest).
The two of them are re-united in what appears to be a "Fear Room", where they are forced to endure horrific torture of the mind. Data is unable to "function" properly with all the fear he is feeling, because he's simply not used to it. So Illyria has to be the one to basically "knock" sense into him, and try to make him see that fears can be conquered. They finally manage to, and overcome the fears they face, but Illyria notices something else. Someone has been watching them the whole time, and she just manages to catch a glimpse of who it is before they disappear.
Q.
So Q has been behind the whole thing, she thinks, and says this to Data, who is still in too much unprecedented shock to completely comprehend anything. Illyria demands that Q reveal himself and his "scheme".
"You got me, Slayer, you figured it all out..." Q says as he reappears, smirking somewhat sheepishly.
"So? What the hell was this all about?" Illyria snaps in annoyance.
Q grins and reveals his reasons for sending them to the mansion.
"Illyria - you wanted to prove that you could be a problem solver as well as fighter, and you did it - I helped you, by bringing you here...."
"Data - you've always wanted to be human, and to have human emotions. I've brought you one step closer to your dream. By giving you raw, human emotions, I've shown you that you can overcome almost crippling fear, much in the same vain as your young Slayer friend has. Being human means going through pain and anxiety, and overcoming it. And now you have."
He believes he has done them a favour, but Illyria is too angry to accept this. Data on the other hand is confused by the whole situation. In part he wants to keep the human emotions Q has given him, but at the same time he doesn’t. In the end he does what he thinks is right, and asks Q to take them back.
But he has to admit, that while Q's actions were uncalled for, he was actually helpful. Data manages to calm Illyria down in order for her to fully appreciate the meddling Q's disturbing "good intentions". It seems his interest with the Slayer lies deeper than first thought....
etc...
