It was surprising! It was a happy ending! I do have a slight yucky feeling about miscarriages of justice, but that's just me. (It's also the reason I couldn't fully enjoy Chicago, because it treated murder a little lightly) But my moral qualms aside, I'm glad Ripley redeemed himself - that was pretty damned cool. I like stories that present humans as being complex, and that no-one is either all good or all bad. For him to go to his mecca, Las Vegas, was perfect! I think Natalie and Peter are in for a tumultuous relationship - but hey, at least it will be passionate! I suspect Cheyenne will end up with her son-in-law My gaydar had Danny sussed several eps back, It worries me about his violence though. Has he left it behind for good? Then again, his dad was his role model and he turned over a new leaf, so maybe he will too? I hope so. I honestly had no clear idea how this series would end. A big happy ending was the last thing I expected though!

I know! Although I did have my suspicions about Danny as well - on both fronts I thought that as well I think Ripley's "redemption" is what helped me like him more... He showed just how much he cared about his kids, and he really did care about Natalie's happiness... Definitely a good series I'll be watching again

So do you think they'll be another series? On Amazon is clearly calls the DVD "Series One".

Interesting... I'm not sure if another series would work though, would it? It'd be like Catterick - it's good as a "stand alone" type of thing...

Does it now? *is intrigued* I suppose it could, but I'd be worried about it becoming a bit soapish, if it did? I should have more faith in the writers though! Boy, it did revive some fun old songs ! I hadn't heard 'Double Barrel' or 'Knock Knock, Who's There?' for aaaaaaaaaaages! I loved what they did with Don't Stop Me Now! Amy will wet herself when she sees it!

Poor Adrian though, in the end I know! But I was wondering if they were setting it up for a Ripley in Las Vegas series?
