TLT will probably appreciate this Adam and I came up with a wicked cool premise for the Doctor, using different actors and bringing the adventure and continuity back - and taking out the soap opera "fan wank" So here 'tis! ***** The “new” Doctor WhoThe “new” Doctor – Julian Rhind Tutt Carol Winterbourne – Jessica Stevenson (companion) Horace “Ray” Edmundson – Martin Freeman (companion) Wacky Premise!Recent divorcee Carol Winterbourne is a “typical” English teacher in a London high school. Horace "Ray" Edmundson is an architect who wants to quit his job. Both think they live pretty average lives, until one day, by chance, they run into one another and witness something very strange… A blue police box appears from no where and a man stumbles out, collapsing right in front of them. He is… The Doctor. From now on, their lives are going to be very, very different... **** Haha I even made these sort of 'promo card' things... Ain't it cool ;D I can totally see Martin as a companion who's a bit "eeer wha?" by the whole thing Jessica is more open minded, hehe

;D I just thought it'd be neat to have Jessica and Martin, they work very well together and the interaction could be really funny between them. And JRT as the Doctor - mmmmmm! He'd be like Mac, or his character from Hippies - just so "cool" See part of what I don't like about Tennant's Doctor is how manic he is, and there's this "arrogance" about him that annoys me - like he has to say "I'm so brilliant!" all the time and it's stupid. With JRT he wouldn't have to say it - you'd just know it Now who can be part of the guest cast?

Yeah I like the way you think. JRT just oozes cool. Ooo guest cast eh? Hmm... I'm thinking we're going to need a short guy with dark hair, perhaps with a northern accent. *scratches head*

Ooh yes, a bit of an angry man is he? What about a "guy" who's in this show, something about a hospital that's "green"..... Haha we've even worked out how to dismiss the previous series' with CE and DT. The Doc is looking through a "what if" machine (at this point he is Paul McGann), and says to himself "So that's what would have happened if I'd met a girl called Rose Tyler. Hmm. I must remember to avoid that..." As he switches off the machine there's an electrical jolt that hits him, and that's what causes his new regeneration into JRT... Wheee! ;D Do you think Jessica and Martin are good picks? I reckon Martin would be great. I can imagine a scene where they're in danger and he's starting to panic. Horace (haha!): Oh. We're going to die, aren't we? Oh god. I knew this day would come. I just didn't think it'd be this soon. The Doctor: Calm down, calm down, you're not going to die. Well. Not like this anyway. Carol: We're all going to die some day. What do you expect, to live til your 900? Doctor: Speak for yourself.

I really do believe they've got to get rid of the Tennant, as much as I love him.

Yeah. DT, stick with crazy mo-fos like Barty Crouch Jnr Or sexy "always gotta fidget and eat" detectives (or he can be in my Buffy spin off as an evil Lucius Malfoy type who "becomes good" in the end, LOL!) I dunno. He's just not really my idea of how the Doc should be played. But I can really picture a Mac style Doctor, or the guy he played in Hippies - just this mellow "coolness" but he's serious when he needs to be. From what I've seen, Tom Baker always seemed to do it well. "I say. I love your butler... he's very violent..." hah classic

Yeah he's great. I love his voice too - perfect for Little Britain Maybe I should write this concept as a fan (wank) fic? It won't be wanky though, coz it'll be good LOL! *toots own horn* (ooo that could be taken in a bad way )
