I've noticed that there isn't a topic for undoubtedly the BEST character in the Harry Potter series - Sirius!! He is my absolute favourite and I want to tell the world how much I love him ( and miss him)  It's a pity that Gary Oldman is quite as gorgeous as what I imagined Sirius to be, he is still pretty cool!  |

May I ask why you didn't like him?
I like him cos he's so dangerous, dark and brooding with a hint of madness, but you know deep down he just needs a cuddle!! ;D

I don't know why to be honest, LOL! Admittedly it did sort of take the movie of Philosopher's Stone to make me a fan of Snape and Hermione (Harry was my favourite originally). It took the movie of Chamber of Secrets to make me a fan of Lucius Malfoy, LOL! And PoA to make me a fan of Sirius. (not Remus, I already explained my reasons for that one  ) I think I disliked Sirius in OotP because of his recklessness, it was somewhat annoying... That's the way it goes though, I latch onto some characters but not others *shrug* |

I supppose the fact that he does keep saying "Your father would have taken the risk" and stuff is a bit annoying in OofP. But I can't help it. I so fell in love with him in PoA the book that when he died in OofP I actually cried. I've never cried over a book before but I was unconsolable!! |

Yeah, a lot of people were like that. I was more moved by what happened in HBP though, I think... But I was shocked when Sirius died... I just didn't cry...

Don't tell me what happens in the new one!!!  It is sitting and waiting for me on my chest of drawers to finish re-reading OofP. I am very near to finishing that now and then I will read HBP. I am desperately trying to avoid all forms of info about what happens in the new book. I keep secretly hoping that Sirius will return ala Obi Wan Kenobi and speak to Harry from beyond the grave! |

Ooh crap, soz, I didn't realise you hadn't read book 6 yet! Then I'm glad I didn't say anything in detail, aye carumba! I know what you mean though, I had to read the book before I went online because I wanted to avoid spoilers |

*gasp* He didn't die!!!! He fell behind a curtain. It happens to everyone. I myself have shown in real life that falling behind a curtain does not result in death. It wasn't a magic curtain but that's not the point. Sirius is currently having a wonderful holiday in the Swiss Alps And I am a Sirius fan!!! He's my joint fave (with Luscious Lucius). Only since PoA tho cos I totally lurve Gary Oldman and plan to steal him and keep him in a box. I think it's how he's on the brink of insanity that makes me like him so much, altho his recklessness was a bit bad in OotP. He's a greeeat character ;D |

Aaw... that means I have to fight for Lupin, LOL! What about Snape? (careful not to post any spoilers from HBP here, for TBird's sake, LOL!) I like Movie Lucius better than the book one - it's not my fault they choose hot peeps like Jason Isaacs to play the characters, is it? |
