Well, we have "Idol" thread here, and I wanted to mention ESC too... Who watches it? I do, if I have time for it. It is always so late that I may be sleeping or watching a good movie but I try to find time for it. It doesn't matter if Finland doesn't succeed in it, we have terrible singers, I admit. But WHY is Israel there? It isn't a European country. I thought that Eurovision Song Contest would be just for European countries. They have also Turkey there! It doesn't belong to Europe either... Stupid.

I sometimes liek watching Eurovision, but mostly for the cringefactor more than anything else, and Terry Wogan does such hilarious commentary on it! ;D When I was on holiday recently they were doing auditions for the junior eurovision on the tv, and I got so hooked I was watching it every night!!

They even show the Eurovision song contest here! One year they replaced Terry Wogan with some Local commentators, and the uproar was so enormous, the tv station had to re-show it, with the Wogan commentary reinstated I saw a fabulous pisstake on stage called Eurobeat - the audience had to vote a winner. (deletes Alvin Steele-like description) I wonder if the competing countries realise that other parts of the world watch the Eurovision solely to laugh (and laugh hard) at it! I don't get the Israel being in it either...it made me question my grasp on Geography! But I believe Turkey has just been made part of the EEC (or whatever it's called.)

They have become part of the EU but it will take 10 years for them to be a full member! I don't get it. They way Europe's going it will take over the entire world before long (except for America - we don;t want them -yuck!)

Never take anything I say as gospel though. I'm always misquoting stuff and getting things slightly wrong! I have a swiss cheese braing like Sam Beckett in Quantum Leap!!
