It's loosely based on the Ivan Milat backpacker killings, Sails. Scarey stuff indeed.
But I still want to see for myself. (I'm a glutton for punishment!)

TOPIC: Has anyone seen The Proposition? (The Nick Cave written movie with Guy Pearce.) No...was going to go see it yesterday, but decided I wasn't in the mood for anything too serious. I'm getting very lazy lately.

Oooh another person warned me not to see Wolf Creek! *is intrigued even further* Don's Party is a quintessential Australian Film. It's hard going, because the characters aren't particular likeable, but it's darned Aussie, it's David Williamson and what's more Graham gawd rest his soul Kennedy is in it!

I just watched a really cute Aussie movie - while not being a Great Australian Movie, I really liked it a lot! Can't Stop The Murders - it's a comedy/serial killer thriller! A line-dancing cop has the task of seeking a murderer who has killed a sailor, a biker, an Indian and a construction worker. Next on the list...? ;D Lots of fun references to other movies - I was only half watching it as I sit here playing with Christmas cards - but Flashdance, Se7en, Strictly Ballroom were among them! I've taped it, so I will watch it with my full attention at soem stage.

Hah yeah! Spikey VW Beetles and other growling vehicles My b/f got a DVD double feature thing of it - this other weird movie called The Plumber is on it too (Peter Weir double I think it is...). The guy who plays Hyde in Home & Away was in it, LOL!
