that is slightly worrying! p.s. the Kenneth Williams' one's face is so hilarious!

Just checking in with a little report on the DVD "An Audience With Kenneth Williams", which I watched last night.
The DVD was funny and a real nostalgia fest, in more ways than one, because the show itself was made in 1983! No extras are included.
Kenneth was one of the great raconteurs, and his stories about being in the entertainment unit during WW2 were especially funny and fascinating.
There wasn't a great deal of Audience input, which was prob. a good thing, because it gave more time for Kenneth to tell his stories with loving, hilarious detail.
Definitely recommended for Kenneth fans in particular, and anyone interested in the history of British comedy in particular.

Ooh that sounds really good... 1983... That's the year I was born in, heh! I may have to look into this...

Haha! Oh that pic reminds me of the dodgy reference I made to it in that story thing I'm writing

Ooh it seems like such a dark film... But yeah Chris Barrie would have been a better choice, if you were going for appearances and how good his impersonations are, anyway...

I see UKTV is having a Carry On marathon - including the old Carry On Christmas specials, over Christmas! Sounds like a good way to spend the arvo after the lunch to me!

Sounds like great fun! Shame my family doesn't share my love for the old innuendo-ridden films.

What is the staple for British Chrissie TV viewing, T-Bird? We get the Queen's Christmas Message, and Carols by Candlelight and various TV show specials from home and the US and the UK.

Hmmmm... well we usually get some, if not all, of the following:
The Queen's Speech Only Fools and Horses Repeats Some awful live feed from Westminster Abbey Kid's films throughout the day - this year we've got Toy Story! My Family Xmas special or some other festive sitcom. Some dramatic storyline in Eastenders!
We never get anything too exciting, and we don't tend to watch any of it apart from Eaast Enders!!

For some unknown reason, Only Fools and Horses never took off here like it did in the UK. I think it's a laugh though. I used to watch the due South christmas ep every year, and Blackadder's Christmas Carol but this year I'll watch TLOG Christmas special instead
