An other little jem from the minds of Jimmy Perry and David Croft (Dad's Army, Hi-de-Hi, Oh, Doctor Beeching!). I recently bought the DVD "finally" released in Australia of the first series. Was very suprised to find extras - two lost episodes, apparantly junked by the BBC in the 70s, turned up as betamax copies from when it was shown on Channel 7 here in Australia. The episodes are not tidied, poor quality with colour wash out, screen jumps, obvious cuts (probebly beacuse sections were badly damaged) and original Channel 7 livery from when we come back from an ad break (Channel 7 logo "It 'Aint Half Hot Mum" PGR)
Very enjoyable, I vaugely remember watching this years ago. Great performances from Windsor Davis, Melvyn Hayes, "Little" Don Estalle etc.

I am so getting this! ;D I loved this show when it was first on! (Odd that it hasn't shown up on UKTV, but meh, DVDs are better anyway.) Fine pair of shoulders, lad...hold 'em up, be proud of 'em...
