I thought, while we're on the topic of old British shows that were a bit camp, I'd bring up 'Allo 'Allo. What a classic! "I shall say this only once" "Good Moaning!" Anyone of you Aussies seen this show?

I'm so glad you knew what I was talking about. I had visions of this topic never being replied to!! I used to love the way that Renee had those two women on the go at the same time - the filthy swine! I did want to hug him though. Such a huggable man!! ;D

My b/f has a cardboard cut out of him for some reason... Not a full one, though. And that other guy has a huge crush on him

This show is a must for anyone wishing to taste the delights of British comedy. It's camp, crass, funny, saucy, in fact anything you can throw at it - it will stick. I have watched this show from an early age. In those days, before UKTV, Allo Allo was on Channel 7 edited as an hour long episode. Ah, those memories come flooding back.
I am dissapointed however, as a proper DVD release is not available. The UK release have only series 1 2 3 and 4 out (not confident more will come out), however, the good people at BBC Worldwide do it again by releasing all the episodes on DVD WITH extras in the USA?!?!? I would like to know how the marketing works as I'm sure they wouldn't get the humour it conveys.
"So you are Rene's twin Brother?" "Yes" "And you arrived from Nancie (spelling) this morning?" "Yes" "Is that where you and Rene grew up?" "Yes, we were both....Nancie boys"

It hasn't been shown over here on terrestrial TV for a long time. It just gets repeated on UKTV Gold or whatever. It's a shame. I'd watch it every week!

We try. Australian TV is filled with British goodies (no pun intended), so a healthy 23 years of solid vewing can't do you any harm. Now where did I leave those keys to Fawlty Towers....?
