Anyone else like this show? It was one of my childhood favourites (like The Goodies), along with Grace & Favour (it's "sequel" series)... I always loved Mr Humphries, hehe "I'm free!" I'll have to get the DVDs at some stage... I think the Region 2 ones are better though. For some reason the US has had really good DVD releases, which seems odd (happens with heaps of other UK shows - why do they get the good stuff?!)

Yep, Are You Being Served? was a staple in my childhood household. My faves were Mrs Slocombe and her pussy, and Mr Humphries, and the malfunctioning shop displays! It was so predictable, that show, but we still tuned in every week!

Yeah ;D It was just good, light hearted fun, really It should be repeated on TV - so we can escape from the other crap that's always shown, hehe

Actually AYBS is on UKTV, it's being shown in mini marathons on Saturday mornings... *must check guide to confirm* I don't seem to have December's guide yet though, so I'm not sure if it's following on into next month... And yeeeah! Cool shows on UKTV this month - Swiss Toni, Green Wing, Gimme Gimme Gimme, and of course TLoG

I was actually able to watch Pope Town before when my mum wanted to use the net, so I guess having breaks isn't such a bad thing

Pope Town is stupidly funny If you like Matt Lucas, Bob Mortimer and Kevin Eldon... well, their voices at least Then it's definitely worth checking out, hehe... UKTV was a bit dodgy for a while, but with the new comedy line ups, it should improve

I'm always one to love a mincer and you can't beat John Inman for OTT gaiety! (His name is IN-MAN - geddit?? ) I love AYBS - I always watch it if it's on. I think it stems from my love of Carry on - all those innuendos and sillyness. I'm Free!!

Mincers! Let's hear it for Great British Mincers! John Inman Frankie Howard Kenneth Williams Charles Hawtrey Larry Grayson Julian Clary "Gloria" from It Ain't Half Hot Mum :applauds: How pretty was Wendy Richards back in the AYBS days too! It always tickles me to see her like that, instead of sour old beige cardied Pauline Fowler! ;D A proper Dolly Bird!!
