Oooh, nice one SE!
I was introduced to The Champions recently too. It did make me laugh for the wrong reasons, but it was a nice little show nonetheless.

ITC.......entertains the world! So, you wanna know about some of the greatest TV series ever launched? It's very wide, and I have to say that is a nice list you have there. The flagship has to be Department S, it's groovy theme tune, fab fashions and fantastic plots can never be overshadowed by others. I enjoy the ITC crime and sci-fi series as they are fun and fancy free. They don't dumb you down. They had a class and style all their own, and I'm happy that umbrella ent. here in Aust is release full DVD boxed sets complete with a bevvy of extras to boot. My Favourites are: Department S - Jason King, sex god of the 60s/70s Jason King - continued spin off series The Protectors - high class vigilantes (and Robert Vaughn still can't find work) UFO - break out the hammond organ, those sexalicious futuristic SHADO agents kick some alien butt. Set in 1980! Yeah, my dad really had a turbine driven MG that year.... The Persuaders - Roger Moore, Tony Curtis - the best pairing ever! Now being made into a movie - US influence SPACE: 1999 - another groovy look into the future from Gerry "coughThunderbirdscoughRichAsF*ckcough" Anderson. Strange Report - Adam Strange (no jokes please), fight crime the way CSI does - 30 years earlier! Dangerman - not to be confused with the our favourite rodent hero, Pat McGoohan shows us the lone wolf type agent doing his gritty job. The Prisoner - What the F*ck is going on......you'll have to watch Man In a Suitcase - sounds silly, but actually a good crime series of a man shunned by all the world's governments. Randell and Hopkirk (Deceased) - Take one private dedective, add the ghost of his dead business partner, a dash of sexy widow and you have a great time, honest! The Baron - John Mannering is playboy antiques dealer who also loves a good adventure. The Champions - a sensantional idea, crime fighters who are descreet super humans - ripe for a remake (correctly of course) The Saint - everyone knows Simon Templer. Return of the Saint - everyone want's to forget Ian Olgilvy Once I start, I just keep on going.....

You're not wrong Damn it all as well, because the younger generation will see the new version and think it's great, without realising that it actually sucks (Damn Ben Stiller!) and the original one kicks butt...

Well, it appears a Jason King DVD boxset is now available in Australia - but there isn't any info about it on websites, LOL! Adam just spotted it in JB Hi-Fi on Saturday... So if this was a series you liked, check out your nearest JB Hi-Fi store and see if they've got it

Yes, Jason King is the current release by Umbrella Ent. They, in all their marketing glory decided not to tell anyone, so unfortunatly you won't find it at ezydvd.com.au or atlanticdvd.com.au or infact any online DVD store in Aust. SE said JB HI-FI, where I purchased my "found" copy. They are the best way to go.
I urge all JK (not that singer who wears silly hats, nor the famous HP writer) fans to go for it, even if you are in the UK as it's region free. You USA viewers can suffer, as PAL is the ultimate picture quality. This release is far better than the German release of last year where all you got as extras were photo post cards in a flimsy box.
