Well? I technically can't vote, but I can still say who I like from what I've seen I think Tom Baker and Sylvester McCoy are at the top of my list, I just like the way they play the character - sort of "mellow" and "cool" Especially Tom, hehe!

Having not seen the vast majority of the Doctor's I don't think it would be fair if I voted either, although I can say that I always enjoyed watching Sylvester McCoy when I was younger, loved Paul McGann in the one-off special, and out of the new Doctor's it has to be Eccleston for me. He's just absolutely amazing!!

Hmm I don't know about the way the "latest" Docs have been played. They seem too "manic" to me. I like the more calm and clever approach, hehe But that's just me I guess... But to be honest I've been finding I can't get into DT's doctor He's too nuts

I can't either. He just doesn't do anything for me at all. It's mostly killed my Tennant love and I didn't think that could happen.

I don't know, cos it's the same writers from last series right? and they did a great job!
I just don't understand it.
I'm blaming Billie Piper....

Oh yeah she's a good scapegoat... Hmm well I've been in the midst of Dr Who fans who were talking about the new series, and they all seemed to agree on one thing - they don't like RTD......

Really? That does surprise me, considering that he brought the series back to life, and gave us Casanova etc.

Hmm well... Technically he didn't bring forward the idea for it to be brought back. He was just chosen for the producer role... I was listening to one guy the other day who was talking about it, and he just can't stand the scripts that RTD writes - however he doesn't mind some of the others. He was saying that there's too much incidental music, and he hates the new opening titles (and I'm not actually talking about Adam's thoughts here, heh! Although he does agree with the sentiments). To be honest, I don't particularly like him that much either. I mean, I know I don't "know" him that well, but from things I've seen, interviews I've read, he comes across as a rather arrogant person. One particular quote... "I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about the logo....." Er.......! A lot of people hate it.... That to me makes it seem like he's just doing it for himself rather than anyone else (ie the fans)... Not that I want to spark a(nother) flame war or anything, because I know a lot of people do like what he's done. But this is what I've heard from other people who have been fans of Classic Who for just about their whole lives... Buuuuut I'm going OT, LOL! See... Yes I do like David Tennant, I think he's a great actor - but I don't think he's right for this role - either that, or the way he's playing the Doctor just isn't "right".... Last night I actually watched a full episode of "classic" Tom Baker Who, called 'City of Death'. I just can't really imagine DT pulling it off in the same way - Tom was brilliant! And Romana is a much better companion... of course she was a Time Lord (Lady) so she had the brains But I just prefer that - the Doctor is calm and cool, and mellow, and the companion is intelligent and also calm... Aaaah well, each to their own I suppose... (Edit - holy crap did I write all that?! )

No, you're totally right. On both accounts.
I don't know much about RTD but he comes across like that. I don't know. Mark G should just write it all!!!
DT - do something good and leave the show! please!

Adam would probably jump for joy seeing that LOL! Not that I want to make a huge deal out of it or anything though, heh! It might be nice to see some episodes that aren't set on Earth I still haven't seen Mark's ep. yet actually, but his was my favourite from the previous series. Perhaps it would be good to bring in people who aren't "fans" of the show, per se... But who still know it and how it works... if that makes sense, LOL!

I rather liked Tennant as the Doctor!
But would have to agree on the RTD front. What he writes doesn't concentrate on the sci fi, which sort of defeats the object of Who. And this series has been a bit odd, with it mostly being on earth, although none of them were utter crap apart from the Absorbaloff (or whatever) one, where the doctor didn't turn up until the last ten minutes. Then, it was mildly amusing and watchable, but before that it was unutterably boring. Someone please explain the point of an episode of Doctor Who without Doctor Who?
I agree, they SHOULD just let Mark write it! the unquiet dead was by far and away the best in the Eccleston series, and The Idiot's Lantern was fantastic.
Or they should sack Tennant (no!) and let Mark be the Doctor. He'd be good!

LOL! Actually I'd like to see Julian Rhind Tutt as the Doctor - his cool "Mac" persona Or the character he plays in Hippies - I think that'd be brilliant. Thing is... I love DT... I just don't like him in this... And yes, Billie Piper really grinds my gears. Maybe that's not her fault, it could be the way she's been told to play Rose, but even still... I just can't like her! I kner! Tis bloody called Doctor Who FFS It seems like a bit of a "cameo" extravaganza in some ways. I mean, I know that happened in the classic series (the episode I watched had John Cleese in it, wooo!), but it was cleverly done and didn't really distract from the plot too much. Hmmm! I think RTD needs to back off a bit and let some different writers do the writing... Let's get back to what made Who Who! Not that I watched the old stuff that much, LOL! But yeah... Let's bring the Adventure back to DW...

Or let Mark write it and Jeremy star... Actually Jeremy writing could be somewhat entertaining... he's a twisted one... I'd be interested to see Mark as the Doc... at least he'd probably have a better costume
